This radon mitigation project in Colorado Springs on October 17, 2024, involved a perimeter drain installation to enhance safety while prioritizing aesthetics. The homeowner requested minimal visibility from the street, so we planned to bore through a window well near the front of the house, ensuring the exhaust pipe could run beneath the fence. Once on the other side, the pipe would attach to the wall for a clean finish. To help with the appearance, the homeowner asked us to drop off the pipe and fittings a couple of days before installation so he could paint them. This thoughtful approach supported both safety and the homeowner's desire for concealment.

Purple Mountain Radon was called in for radon mitigation at a home in Colorado Springs, CO 80910, after homeowners noticed fluctuating radon levels, occasionally spiking above 4.0 pCi/L. Referred by friends who had previously worked with Purple Mountain Radon, the homeowner decided to proceed with mitigation. The split-level home had a garden-level basement with an adjacent crawlspace. The crawlspace had a vapor barrier, but it wasn't sealed properly. Our team sealed the vapor barrier to the walls, dug beneath the slab to create a suction pit, and connected it with perforated pipe under the vapor barrier. We then routed the system through the crawlspace wall and installed the radon fan and exhaust riser outside. Post-mitigation testing showed incredible results: the living room was measured at less than 0.7 pCi/L, and the garden-level basement was at just 0.8 pCi/L. If you’re concerned about fluctuating radon levels in your home, reach out to Purple Mountain Radon for a thorough mitigation solution.
