I had gotten 4 bids for radon mitigation. 1 sent an email of cost without a visit. 1 gave a cost over the phone and said they’d go over details on the same day they came to do the installation, no visit. 1 came out and seemed totally lost on installation location and said I’d have to hire an electrician or do the electrical myself. Brian of Purple Mountain Radon came out, went over solutions and locations for the system answering any questions I had. When he came back to do the work he spent Friday and a few hours on Saturday completing a nice looking system. He was professional, courteous, made an extra effort to clean up after, and his price was competitive, and best of all he did everything. My radon levels before mitigation were 17.7 pCi/L according to a radon test sent in to first alert for testing, and according to my Airthings constant radon monitor (Amazon). My radon levels now are 0.07 pCi/L. We feel better about spending time in our basement now knowing our air is cleaner and we don’t have to worry about the radiation that radon produces. I would hire Brian and Purple Mountain Radon again without hesitation.
